Jordan regularly appears in all State and Federal Courts in a range of commercial, corporate and equity matters. His practice has a focus on corporations law, corporate insolvency and bankruptcy disputes. He accepts briefs to advise and to appear at all court hearings.
Before coming to the bar Jordan was Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Sifris of the Supreme Court of Victoria, where he assisted in the management of the Corporations List of the Commercial Court. In this role Jordan worked on a broad range of commercial disputes, including trials covering corporate oppression, breach of director’s duties, breach of contract, breach of trust, and property disputes, both real and PPSA.
With 5 years' experience as a solicitor-advocate prior to coming to the bar, Jordan has extensive experience appearing as an advocate in court. He maintains a criminal and regulatory law practice, focused on Corporations Act 2001 offences and civil penalty provisions, white-collar crime, and Confiscation Act 1997 proceedings. Jordan regularly appears in the Magistrates' and County courts in such matters, and has successfully defended clients before ASIC disciplinary panels.
Jordan graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (Major in Int. Politics).
He read with Peter Fary, and his senior mentor is Jonathan Evans QC.
